Guest Book Ryan: Thanks for an amazing weekHi Wayne and Wendie
Thanks for an amazing week. I already feel like I am a much better rider.
For anyone thinking of going, take the leap. The roads are absolutely superb, the coaching top notch and the hospitality second to none!
Thanks again, hope to see you soon, Ryan Wednesday, 06 April 2011 Jason S: "Training camp"...not a holiday!Just returned from an amazing week with Wayne and Wendie. The training camp offered everything I could of asked for, in particular the routes and roads are excellent for cycling and with every effort for a big climb you are rewarded with breathtaking scenary which you can then appreciate on the decent. Then after your days training you are rewarded with a lovely evening meal (best food I have had when I have been away!) you are very well looked after overall. Wayne gives good advice which I will take away and use and will be back for another camp in the future. Thanks again Wayne and Wendie for making my week so enjoyable!! Friday, 18 March 2011 Gordon and Colin: lots of miles and lots of foodManaged to climb more hills than i thought possible. Must have been as a result of all of the excellent food.See you next year !!!! Sunday, 13 March 2011 Wim: Heel1 year after the operation. Ran this week a 6, 8 & 12k's run as a test , result: no pain!!! Tx again Wayne. I won't forget. Saturday, 15 January 2011 Tim Aspeling: Why go anywhere else...?Home after my second 5 day one-to-one training camp with Wayne. I arrived fitter than 2009, so Wayne simply raised the bar - pushing my threshold and coaching/coaxing me up even longer & higher climbs. Everyone keeps asking if I'm tired - but the answer is 'No' - I'm revitalised, re-energised, & loving my cycling with a renewed passion. Thanks again Wayne & Wendie, I'm already planning my return in 2011...'Valter 2000'...bring it on! Love & Thanks Tim x Wednesday, 03 November 2010 Jonny Connop: The BEST place in the world!Having cycled most places in Europe I have to say I have finally discovered the best place to cycle. Anazing climbs, fast flat, no cars and breathtaking scenery all make for an amazing experience. Add to this the friendly people, fantastic hospitality and the weather it makes the holiday even more enjoyable. Will be back for my 3rd visit to attend Waynes spring training camp to get ready for next season. Thanks Wayne, see you soon.
Wednesday, 06 October 2010 Marc Carbones: Thanks Wayne!!!Hi Wayne! It has been a long time since my visits but now it's time to post. ;-D You were right about the stretching importance. After the gradual learning of barefoot running (with shoes) and stretching a lot, I left my teething problems. Now I can run several hours without problems and I'm quite fit. This august I did Carros de Foc, http://www.carrosdefoc.com/media/pdf/New-York-Times.pdf I will come again soon because I need help with my training plan and some massage will help.
Thanks and see you!!! Monday, 20 September 2010 wim kauffman: achillis5 months afther operation, cycling 3-4 times a week, MTB races of 30+ km, running, all without pain!!Thank you Wayne. Wednesday, 23 June 2010 Mark Sayer: Go there now !I have been plagued by knee pain for the last decade - an unnecessarily operation and various other treatments have never got to the bottom of the problem. So how did I manage to cycle 450 miles in a week with less and less pain ? All down to Wayne's Sports Therapy skills. Combined with some of the best cycling to be had in Europe on quiet, good quality roads, all fuelled by Wendy's fantastic cooking with a great group of friends and relatives. Whether you are a fit club cyclist wanting to beast yourself, an enthusiast preparing for a big Sportive or need rehab and encouragement this is the ONLY place to go ! Monday, 26 April 2010 Wim Kauffman Teamleader BEL Skydive Team...: Achillis HeelRemarkably how I recover. The Dr couldn't believe I could cycle 3 hours only 12 weeks afther the OP!!!! Even started SkyDiving again, and the running will be next..... Thanks Wayne Monday, 26 April 2010 David Nixon: If you think you can't do it - come hereA fabulous week. On the bike and taking a rest in the van. The push was just what I needed. I'll be back for the Col de Banyoles. Thanks to Wayne and Wendie and Roger. Monday, 05 April 2010 Gavin Andrew: MrAn outstanding week’s cycling with great company and terrain that far surpassed my previous training camps in Majorca. The days’ cycling was made all the more enjoyable at the thought of going home at night to one of Wendie’s home cooked meals. I’ve never eaten so much food in all my life! The homely feel and crack at night was excellent. Thank you very much for an excellent time…I’ll definitely be back next year! Gavin Andrew. Moray Firth Cycling Club. Monday, 29 March 2010 Andy Grauwels: Treatment of my backDuring our Training camps in Empuria Brava with the team and having to do 12 skydiving jumps a day for about 2weeks. My back muscles get tensed, and don't relax. After doing my first session with Wayne, I already could notice a huge difference, and the second the pain even got away. Next time I go to Empuria for training, I'm definitely going back for some more treatment.
THANKS al lot Wayne !!! Saturday, 20 March 2010 Pete Allum: RidingIt doesn't get much better than this; 2.5 hour ride in the moring in clear skies on empty roads, whilst getting bike fit advice and pedalling correction, then in the afternoon, treatment for a shoulder injury that had left me in agony for months/years... Wayne is THE MAN! Tuesday, 02 March 2010 Wim Kauffman: Achilles heel treatmentAfter a second operation of my achilles heel, 6 weeks ago, Wayne treated me 7 times now, and I can walk already without limping.Soon jumping again.Awesome!!!!!!!!!! Not completed yet, but we're getting there. Thank you Wayne. ps: see you this afternoon. Wim Monday, 01 March 2010 Tory: Beat the snow, train in spain!Thank goodness we took the plunge and booked the flights! We arrived on New Years Day and have had a brilliant few days with Wendie and Wayne. Superb hospitality and lovely steady rides on dry, traffic-less roads. SOOO much better than the rollers/turbo which is what we'd be having to do at home. If you can, do as we did, just go for it - you won't regret it! Thank you for a really excellent start to 2010. T xx Wednesday, 06 January 2010 Spencer Hogg: Knee TreatmentOutstanding! After 22 years of being mistreated by military physiotherapists, I've finally found someone who knows what he is talking about and has the experience and knowledge to treat sports specific injuries. Gratefully appreciated Wayne. Be lucky.
Sunday, 22 November 2009 Tim Buckland: Broken Back Treatment14 months after major spine surgery and a miriad of different treatments, one week with Wayne has been a breakthrough for mobility, flexibility, confidence and self management. Far exceeds any previous treatments, within four days I rode a 7 hour enduro trail, which I still find hard to beleive! My condition was difficult to treat, but it was Waynes conviction and knowledge that took me to the point of not needing painkillers and being able to start doing things I thought I would never do again. Wendys cooking and hospitality was first class, stunning scenery and great people, thanks for an amazing week. Wednesday, 11 November 2009 Josep Sanchez: Cycling and runningI am a 32 years old cyclist who has been riding since 13. One year ago I started to run because I wanted to do duathlons, but I had to stop, I felt so much pain on my right knee that I could not run and the worst was that I started to feel pain even riding for the first time in my cyclist life. Then I met Wayne who worked on my knee and my legs, and not only this, he showed me some triks to take care of my knees and now my knees are stronger and I have no problems riding or running. Thanks Mr. Wayne !
P.D. And thanks Wendie for your great ginger cakes. Tuesday, 10 November 2009 Alan Morton: RehabI have just spent a week with Wayne getting physio, riding bikes and learning stretching and strength improvement techniques. Although I am no stranger to the educated hands of Mr.Boyes I am nonetheless always astounded at the difference in how I feel before and after treatment. The rehab education was invaluable and shows Waynes desire to heal his patients as opposed to having them set up direct debits! He has a passion for his field that proves it to be a calling rather than a job. If you have given up on believing that your body can be fixed go and see this man. A huge thank you to Wendy for all her help and looking after us. Great food and hospitality. She can also skip like Floyd Mayweather...Go to Garriguella ! Tuesday, 10 November 2009 Rafel ferrer: knee rehabilitationI was football player till the age of 28. The football was my passion but my right knee was seriously injured. After four operations in hospitals of Barcelona,my knee didn't resist football. I couldn't bend it more than 90 degree. Then i started cycling to rehabilitation, and now 29 years later at the age off 57, cycling is my favorite sport, but i didnt enjoy because with 90 degree i couldnt pedal correctly. Fortunately, one year ago i met Wayne he told me i will pedal perfectly he's very stubborn and me too. After one year of treatments and rehabilitation i bend my knee much more and now i pedal correctle, now i enjoy cycling alot more. Now our objective is to bend this knee like my other. MANY MANY THANKS WAYNE YOU ARE MY IDOL!!! Friday, 06 November 2009 Tim Aspeling: Living the dream...Dear Wayne, thank you for helping me achieve more in 5-days cycling than I could EVER have dreamt. I started on Monday as 'Timmy-the-turtle' with stiff shoulders and ended on Friday as 'Timmy-Turbo' with a 90-mile ride including the Cat 1 Rocacorba climb in a relaxed Catalan style! You are a coaching genius and a truly inspirational mentor. Thank you Wendie for looking after me so well and keeping me fueled up with such delicious food. I'll be back as soon as I can... Tim x Sunday, 01 November 2009 Guest: Roland ShawHi Wayne it seems your guest book is spot on, a great weekend with good training and info to go forward with, i will be back and anyone reading this note "life does not get better than this, ring wayne now and book in " Monday, 19 October 2009 Gonzalo: Wayne solved my cramping nightmareI'm a cyclist that has been struggling with cramps in races for the last four years, I even thought about quitting racing. I tried electrolytes, stretching and many other things that didn't work. Wayne started my treatment about six months ago and my cramps have gone. Now I can race my full potential and results keep improving, I can't thank Wayne enough! Monday, 31 August 2009 Alan Morton, Si Jones: Saved the tripThanks Wayne, for getting us through the last few days of our skydiving trip.Easily the best treatment sessions I have ever had.Your physio saved our week. Hope to see you very soon. Sunday, 14 June 2009 RICHARD LESTERThanks for an amazing week.Cant reccommend the 1 to 1 tuition highly enough, and the routes and scenery are just awesome. Great climbs, even better food and a perfect training camp for those relative novices who fear being left behind by the scale of a Mallorcan mass market operation. Wednesday, 20 May 2009 Kev and Michelle LillieWe visited the area as two non-cyclists as Wayne and Wendie's guest but felt the need to leave a comment due to the great time we had. The area itself is to die for and sums up rural Spain in a nutshell. This would be suffice if it wasn't for the ease to visit so many other beautiful sites within such a short distance. Close to the beach, close to one of Europes largest Skydiving camps, close to the French border - the list goes on. Wayne's dedication to his job can only be admired, not only as a physiotherapist (watched first hand) but as a committed cyclist with amazing knowledge of the local area. Wendie's cooking was a very good end to some very good days. An excellent couple to socilaise with. We cannot it recommend enough, so much so we're already looking forward to a return visit later in the year. Wednesday, 20 May 2009 Ricky HunterThanks for another great weeks cycling. Fantastic routes and scenery. Food and hospitality were as good as ever (wine wasn't bad either). Legs felt much improved after treatments, promptly set a new PB when I got home. See you both again soon. Wednesday, 20 May 2009 Craig Bisset: See you soon2nd visit was even better than the first. Bust all my goals.... got to the top of Mar De Deu Del Mont, and 5000ft climbing in one day. The cycling with Club Figueres was just awesome...felt like I was in the peleton.Food and hospitality was first class as usual. See you soon Monday, 04 May 2009 Jason Hynd: Ideal locationHi Wayne and WendieThanks for making our stay welcome. See you both soon Jase, Paula and OliviaFor anyone considering a visit, here’s our personal opinionThe accommodation in Garriguella and location are ideal for multisport training with some spectacular scenery. The roads are very quiet and mainly re-surfaced. There is a semicircle of mountains creating a microclimate within the region. To the east you are bordered by the millionaire seaside resort of Empuriabrava. There are perfect training roads for chain gangs and time trials and endless mountains for climbers. You have options to ride with the local Catalan cyclists, including a former Vuelta winner. Offroad running and mountainbiking tracks are the real hidden gem with thousands of kilometres of gravel based tracks maintained for vine/olive and hunting groups. The local shops can arrange for MTB hire if you take a road bike. For triathletes there are 2x 50m pools nearby.Wayne and Wendie really make you welcome from the airport pickup, tourist visits to all the local cafes and bike shops as well as the shopping town of Figueres (15mins) and the ancient cities of Perpignan and Girona (40min). Wayne can take you on some epic road and mountainbike rides (with café stops) followed by Wendie’s amazing culinary skills. During our 10 day visit we barely scratched the surface. Its no surprise so many professional cyclists use the region for training. Personal highlights were climbing the Cap de Mont Sant (lances training climb) and a hilly route to France and back. If you liked Majorca 10 years ago (when it was quiet) and are looking for an unspoilt alternative you really must give this a try. Tuesday, 21 April 2009 Richard Hunter: Thanks! Thanks Wayne and Wendie for a great stay, Wendie the food was fantastic and you\'re both great hosts. Legs are feeling a lot better after the treatments and the back and knee pain has gone! The cycling was spectacular. Tuesday, 21 April 2009 Craig Bisset: Can't thank Wayne enoughCan't thank Wayne enough. As a new cyclist, and totally unfit with a chest infection, Wayne's patience and encouragement meant I got more miles in than I thought possible. Knows exactly how hard he can push to get the best results. Wendy...10/10 in the kitchen...the chorizo stew is to die for. Looking forward to going back. Tuesday, 21 April 2009 William J Goodwood: Recommended!Thank you both for a super week the cycling was of the higest standard with unreal veiws certainly recommended!!! i will be returning again in Feb see you both soon Wills. Tuesday, 21 April 2009 Aubrey Thomas: Thanks Wayne!I can't thank the friend that tipped me off about you enough! I came out with a knee problem that nobody could seem to put right, and went home on top form, after a fantastic week and ready to GO! The food was great (thanks Wendy), the accomodation peaceful and the cycling - as good as you can get. Thanks Wayne - see you soon! Aubry Tuesday, 21 April 2009
