It doesn't get much better than this; 2.5 hour ride in the moring in clear skies on empty roads, whilst getting bike fit advice and pedalling correction, then in the afternoon, treatment for a shoulder injury that had left me in agony for months/years... Wayne is THE MAN!

Wim Kauffman: Achilles heel treatment

Thank goodness we took the plunge and booked the flights!  We arrived on New Years Day and have had a brilliant few days with Wendie and Wayne.  Superb hospitality and lovely steady rides on dry, traffic-less roads.  SOOO much better than the rollers/turbo which is what we'd be having to do at home.  If you can, do as we did, just go for it - you won't regret it!  Thank you for a really excellent start to 2010. T xx

Tory: Beat the snow, train in spain!

Outstanding!

After 22 years of being mistreated by military physiotherapists, I've finally found someone who knows what he is talking about and has the experience and knowledge to treat sports specific injuries.

Gratefully appreciated Wayne.

 Be lucky.

Spencer Hogg: Knee Treatment

14 months after major spine surgery and a miriad of different treatments,

one week with Wayne has been a breakthrough for mobility, flexibility, confidence and self management.

Far exceeds any previous treatments, within four days I rode a 7 hour enduro trail, which I still find hard to beleive!

My condition was difficult to treat, but it was Waynes conviction and knowledge that took me to the point of not needing painkillers and being able to start doing things I thought I would never do again.

Wendys cooking and hospitality was first class, stunning scenery and great people, thanks for an amazing week.

Tim Buckland: Broken Back Treatment

I am a 32 years old cyclist who has been riding since 13. One year ago I started to run because I wanted to do duathlons, but I had to stop, I felt so much pain on my right knee that I could not run and the worst was that  I started to feel pain even riding for the first time in my cyclist life.

Then I met Wayne who worked on my knee and my legs, and not only this, he showed me some triks to take care of my knees and now my knees are stronger and I have no problems riding or running.

 Thanks Mr. Wayne !

P.D. And thanks Wendie for your great ginger cakes.

Josep Sanchez: Cycling and running

I have just spent a week with Wayne getting  physio, riding bikes and learning stretching and strength improvement techniques.

Although I am no stranger to the educated hands of Mr.Boyes I am nonetheless always astounded at the difference in how I feel before and after treatment. The rehab education was invaluable and shows Waynes desire to heal his patients as opposed to having them set up direct debits! He has a passion for his field that proves it to be a calling rather than a job.

If you have given up on believing that your body can be fixed go and see this man.

A huge thank you to Wendy for all her help and looking after us. Great food and hospitality. She can also skip like Floyd Mayweather...Go to Garriguella !

Alan Morton: Rehab

I was football player till the age of 28. The football was my passion but my right knee was seriously injured. After four operations in hospitals of Barcelona,my knee didn't resist football. I couldn't bend it more than 90 degree. Then i started cycling to rehabilitation, and now 29 years later at the age off 57, cycling is my favorite sport, but i didnt enjoy because with 90 degree i couldnt pedal correctly.

Fortunately, one year ago i met Wayne he told me i will pedal perfectly he's very stubborn and me too. After one year of treatments and rehabilitation  i bend my knee much more and now i pedal correctle, now i enjoy cycling alot more. Now our objective is to bend this knee like my other. MANY MANY THANKS WAYNE YOU ARE MY IDOL!!!

Rafel ferrer: knee rehabilitation

Dear Wayne, thank you for helping me achieve more in 5-days cycling than I could EVER have dreamt. I started on Monday as 'Timmy-the-turtle' with stiff shoulders and ended on Friday as 'Timmy-Turbo' with a 90-mile ride including the Cat 1 Rocacorba climb in a relaxed Catalan style! You are a coaching genius and a truly inspirational mentor.

Thank you Wendie for looking after me so well and keeping me fueled up with such delicious food.

I'll be back as soon as I can...

I'm a cyclist that has been struggling with cramps in races for the last four years, I even thought about quitting racing.

I tried electrolytes, stretching and many other things that didn't work.

Wayne started my treatment about six months ago and my cramps have gone.

Now I can race my full potential and results keep improving, I can't thank Wayne enough!

Alan Morton, Si Jones: Saved the trip

Thanks for an amazing week.Cant reccommend the 1 to 1 tuition highly enough, and the routes and scenery are just awesome. Great climbs, even better food and a perfect training camp for those relative novices who fear being left behind by the scale of a Mallorcan mass market operation.

RICHARD LESTER

We visited the area as two non-cyclists as Wayne and Wendie's guest but felt the need to leave a comment due to the great time we had. The area itself is to die for and sums up rural Spain in a nutshell. This would be suffice if it wasn't for the ease to visit so many other beautiful sites within such a short distance. Close to the beach, close to one of Europes largest Skydiving camps, close to the French border - the list goes on. Wayne's dedication to his job can only be admired, not only as a physiotherapist (watched first hand) but as a committed cyclist with amazing knowledge of the local area. Wendie's cooking was a very good end to some very good days. An excellent couple to socilaise with. We cannot it recommend enough, so much so we're already looking forward to a return visit later in the year.

2nd visit was even better than the first. Bust all my goals.... got to the top of Mar De Deu Del Mont, and 5000ft climbing in one day. The cycling with Club Figueres was just awesome...felt like I was in the peleton.Food and hospitality was first class as usual. See you soon

Craig Bisset: See you soon

Hi Wayne and WendieThanks for making our stay welcome. See you both soon Jase, Paula and OliviaFor anyone considering a visit, here’s our personal opinionThe accommodation in Garriguella and location are ideal for multisport training with some spectacular scenery. The roads are very quiet and mainly re-surfaced. There is a semicircle of mountains creating a microclimate within the region. To the east you are bordered by the millionaire seaside resort of Empuriabrava.

There are perfect training roads for chain gangs and time trials and endless mountains for climbers. You have options to ride with the local Catalan cyclists, including a former Vuelta winner. Offroad running and mountainbiking tracks are the real hidden gem with thousands of kilometres of gravel based tracks maintained for vine/olive and hunting groups. The local shops can arrange for MTB hire if you take a road bike. For triathletes there are 2x 50m pools nearby.Wayne and Wendie really make you welcome from the airport pickup, tourist visits to all the local cafes and bike shops as well as the shopping town of Figueres (15mins) and the ancient cities of Perpignan and Girona (40min).

Wayne can take you on some epic road and mountainbike rides (with café stops) followed by Wendie’s amazing culinary skills.

During our 10 day visit we barely scratched the surface. Its no surprise so many professional cyclists use the region for training. Personal highlights were climbing the Cap de Mont Sant (lances training climb) and a hilly route to France and back. If you liked Majorca 10 years ago (when it was quiet) and are looking for an unspoilt alternative you really must give this a try.

Richard Hunter: Thanks!

Can't thank Wayne enough. As a new cyclist, and totally unfit with a chest infection, Wayne's patience and encouragement meant I got more miles in than I thought possible. Knows exactly how hard he can push to get the best results. Wendy...10/10 in the kitchen...the chorizo stew is to die for. Looking forward to going back.
