Thanks for another great weeks cycling. Fantastic routes and scenery. Food and hospitality were as good as ever (wine wasn't bad either). Legs felt much improved after treatments, promptly set a new PB when I got home. See you both again soon.

2nd visit was even better than the first. Bust all my goals.... got to the top of Mar De Deu Del Mont, and 5000ft climbing in one day. The cycling with Club Figueres was just awesome...felt like I was in the peleton.Food and hospitality was first class as usual. See you soon

Hi Wayne and WendieThanks for making our stay welcome. See you both soon Jase, Paula and OliviaFor anyone considering a visit, here’s our personal opinionThe accommodation in Garriguella and location are ideal for multisport training with some spectacular scenery. The roads are very quiet and mainly re-surfaced. There is a semicircle of mountains creating a microclimate within the region. To the east you are bordered by the millionaire seaside resort of Empuriabrava.
There are perfect training roads for chain gangs and time trials and endless mountains for climbers. You have options to ride with the local Catalan cyclists, including a former Vuelta winner. Offroad running and mountainbiking tracks are the real hidden gem with thousands of kilometres of gravel based tracks maintained for vine/olive and hunting groups. The local shops can arrange for MTB hire if you take a road bike. For triathletes there are 2x 50m pools nearby.Wayne and Wendie really make you welcome from the airport pickup, tourist visits to all the local cafes and bike shops as well as the shopping town of Figueres (15mins) and the ancient cities of Perpignan and Girona (40min).
Wayne can take you on some epic road and mountainbike rides (with café stops) followed by Wendie’s amazing culinary skills.
During our 10 day visit we barely scratched the surface. Its no surprise so many professional cyclists use the region for training. Personal highlights were climbing the Cap de Mont Sant (lances training climb) and a hilly route to France and back. If you liked Majorca 10 years ago (when it was quiet) and are looking for an unspoilt alternative you really must give this a try.

Thanks Wayne and Wendie for a great stay, Wendie the food was fantastic and you\'re both great hosts. Legs are feeling a lot better after the treatments and the back and knee pain has gone! The cycling was spectacular.

Can't thank Wayne enough. As a new cyclist, and totally unfit with a chest infection, Wayne's patience and encouragement meant I got more miles in than I thought possible. Knows exactly how hard he can push to get the best results. Wendy...10/10 in the kitchen...the chorizo stew is to die for. Looking forward to going back.
